Who We Are?
The Bangladesh Cutter Suction Dredger Owners’ Association (BCSDOA) is the national representative body for private contractors engaged in dredging activities across Bangladesh. Given the country’s unique geographical position as part of the largest river delta in the world, dredging plays a critical role in maintaining navigable waterways, protecting riverbanks, and reclaiming land for development.
The primary goal of BCSDOA is to foster an industry that not only meets the infrastructural needs of Bangladesh but also adheres to the principles of sustainability and environmental protection. With over 40 member companies managing more than 150 Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSDs), BCSDOA represents a majority of the dredging activities in the country, focusing on both public and private sector projects.

Our Role in the Industry
BCSDOA represents a consortium of private dredging companies that collectively handle over 90% of the national dredging projects awarded through open tenders. The association ensures that its members maintain high standards of operation, using modern technologies and adhering to best practices in environmental management.
